Gumbo Challenge
One Fat Quarter was given to each participant and they were able to create anything. Fabric was given at the January meeting and projects were due at the April meeting. Entries ranged from stuffed animals to garments and of course spectacular quilted projects. So much fun and so much creativity. Looking forward to the next challenge.
Commitment to Foster Children
The Guild actively supports Foster Children with donated quilts and drawstring bags.
Foster children are given large plastic trash bags to move their things as necessary. Instead of trash bags this guild has created a pattern that holds almost as must as a trash bag, but offers a more dignified option for children in need.
Rebuild
Guild members create 'mini house' quilts that are presented to people that have received home improvement.
Annual Retreat
Each year members of the Guild gather for 4 days for fun and sewing.
Upcoming retreats are scheduled for November of 2025 and another for March of 2026
